Skate 3

Skate 3 is a skateboard game for PlayStation 3, made by Electronic Arts (EA). It came out in 2010. You can either play in Free Play mode or Career mode. You can make your own skater, choose their clothes and hairstyle and make a team. The aim of the game is to sell 1 million boards in Port Carverton, where the game is based. Port Carverton is really big and there are lots of things to do to sell boards, like races and competitions. 

 

Some of the controls are easy to learn. You can do some tricks just by pressing R1 or R2. But some tricks are harder than others. There is a Trick Guide in the game to help you if you get stuck. You can also choose the difficulty but it's still quite hard.

 

The game looks very realistic. You can get off your skateboard and run if you want. You are in third person so you can see the tricks. You can start fights with people on the street and run away from them! You can also play Hall of Meat where you try and break as many bones as you can. It reminds me of SSX 3 but more realistic (except Hall of Meat) because a skater could actually do the tricks. He also gets knocked out if he falls too far. It is a really fun game.
